SCOPE OF JOB: Teach one or more online courses in Spanish on a per-semester basis for EduKan.org, a consortium of six Kansas community colleges offering a full associate degree curriculum via the Internet,

The O'Reilly School of Technology (OST) is a division at O'Reilly Media, Inc. offering online courses and Certificate programs for professional development in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Web Development, Systems and Database Administration. All courses are completely online, self-paced, featuring hands-on practice on real-world projects with one-to-one instructor support and feedback.

Our instructors are responsible for every aspect of the student-instructor relationship, which includes encouraging interactive learning skills as well as explaining specifics about a particular programming language. On a daily basis our instructors spend a good percent of their time tailoring open-ended answers to student questions. We use standard grading criteria to evaluate each project, encourage students to go beyond the requirements and are always available to answer questions. This position is a full time, online position that reports to the Faculty Manager.
