Distance Education Instructors are employed by the University to teach certain distance learning courses (Internet, asynchronous, synchronous, and video-based). Distance Education Adjuncts lead in the instruction of small groups of students organized around synchronous chat groups. These adjuncts are under the supervision of the Distance Education Instructors and are responsible for leading chats and threaded discussions and grading all academic work for their section. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: Ability to work in both a face-to-face and online teaching environment Knowledge of computer based academic delivery systems Ability to work with an ethnically diverse student body EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master~s degree from a regionally-accredited academic institution A minimum of 18 graduate-level semester hours of credit in the discipline(s) being taught. Cafetalk
Cafetalk is an online teaching platform designed to make the exchange of online lessons fun and inspiring for both students and tutors. All lessons are carried out using Skype.
Cafetalk is currently used by tutors and students around the world.Cafetalk started out offering language lessons to Japanese students learning English. We have about 37,000 students and 800 tutors, so it's still small, but we are growing fast and getting new students by the minute! We are looking for online tutors for any language.
Qualifications
Teaching experience is preferred but not a must if you meet all of the following criteria
Native speaker of the language you plan on teaching
Fast and stable internet connection with PC or Mac and webcam
Basic computer skills
